My name is Simon Arthur-Smith. I am an experienced counsellor who is committed to providing effective and cost-effective counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and totally non-judgmental environment. I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a member of EMDR UK & Ireland (the UK's professional Association of EMDR clinicians). I am based in Brighton & Hove.
I counsel individuals (adults only, sorry no under-18s) one-to-one on either an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period - my aim as a counsellor is to enable you to improve your quality of life and live life more fully.
I offer a FREE initial consultation, so that you can come and meet me and decide, without obligation, whether I am the right counsellor for you. If we go on to work together, one-hour sessions cost £50 for all appointments other than those held on Saturdays.

I have two Brighton & Hove counselling practices. My main practice is very close to Hove railway station; I offer sessions here six days a week. I also offer a limited number of sessions (currently Wednesday-only) from rooms on Church Road in Hove, close to Hove Library. Both practices are within convenient travelling time of Portslade, Southwick, Shoreham-by-Sea, Steyning and Lancing. Parking in the vicinity of both is straightforward.
